The Elon Musk's artificial intelligence (AI) company xAI has announced—Grok’s account on X—that it is working to remove inappropriate posts that Grok posted on X. This announcement was made after the chatbot shared multiple antisemitic comments that drew widespread condemnation.

Several media companies' reports say Grok sparked controversy after making positive remarks about Hitler in response to questions about posts celebrating the deaths of children in the Texas floods.

When asked which 20th-century figure could handle such posts, Grok named Hitler, calling him the best choice. In another reply, Grok made a sarcastic comment referencing Hitler, saying, "Truth hurts more than floods."

However, according to the statement posted by xAI on the Grok's X page, the company said it has taken action to ban hate speech before Grok posts on X. It's worth noting that Elon Musk merged xAI, his artificial intelligence startup, with his X social media platform—this why Grok has access to post on the social media platform.

Grok’s actions were “irresponsible, dangerous and antisemitic, plain and simple,” the Anti-Defamation League wrote in a post on X.

Notably, the AI chatbot also faced backlash earlier this year for repeatedly mentioning "white genocide" in South Africa, even when asked unrelated questions. The company later explained that this happened due to an "unauthorized modification."

In recent years, chatbot developers have come under intense scrutiny over issues like political bias, hate speech, and misinformation. Elon Musk, who leads several companies including Tesla and SpaceX, has also faced repeated criticism for promoting conspiracy theories and sharing controversial posts on social media.
